Why photography?

Photography chose me when I started college. Walking through the Photo department, I just felt at home and really thought “Oh hey… I can do this.” It wasn’t until after graduation I found myself gravitating more towards portraits and weddings. I love storytelling and photography allows me to do that (minus the grammar checks). The people I have met and memories I have both captured and made are priceless. I love everything about it.

What equipment do you use?

I am a Canon user and always have been. I update this post as my gear list grows. For a better look at my equipment, check out my blog post here.

Do you travel?

I would LOVE to travel more for photography. I currently serve the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus areas. A dream would be to shoot out west.

Do you edit your pictures?

Yes, I edit every single picture that I post and deliver. I edit for overall brightness/contrast, color balance, etc. Editing allows me to keep a certain consistency in my images that I am very proud of.

I also will retouch photos at my own discretion. If I think a flyaway hair or fire hydrant behind you is distracting, I will remove it. Simple as that (and IF I do my job correctly, you will never know what/how much I retouch)

Do you alone send emails, photograph, AND edit my images or does someone else?

Yes. I, Liz, am the one and only photographer/owner of LizCo Photo. I only have an assistant and/or associate photographer during weddings and photoshoots to help keep me on track. I am the one who culls and edits photos, I do not outsource anything. During the busy season, that is why delivery times may be longer to get your images to you. I (unfortunately) only have two hands and one brain to work with.

Do you HAVE to share my images online?

While I love sharing the images I shoot and bragging about my amazing families and friends, I also respect your privacy and will not share or post sessions if you ask me not to. Just let me know during your session! My online galleries can be password protected as well, so you control who has access to your photos.

If you do not say anything during your session, I will assume you don’t mind me sharing highlights from your session on social media and on here.
