Solo Winter Session at Waldruhe Park in Miamisburg OH

There is something really magical about shooting in the snow. As someone who is ALWAYS cold, I try to avoid going out unless it’s absolutely needed. When I saw all the gorgeous, untouched snow just waiting to be photographed, I knew what had to be done!!

I called the ever-so-handsome Gabriel and we decided to venture into the chilly temps for some new photos. We stuck close to home this time around, deciding to get the most we could out of the light before the sun started to set.

As you can tell, Gabriel wasn’t afraid of doing what it took for a great image, even if it included being covered in snow. I loved how the hints of red, warm gold, and blue from his sweater and scarf popped against the neutral landscape around us. We walked along the path, stopping occasionally to battle a stray log or small ditch hidden under the blanket of white. The only moment of nervousness on my part was climbing on top of a nearby picnic table to shoot straight down (because if i slipped, what an embarrassing way to twist an ankle, right?)

I am so grateful we were able to spend the day getting creative,

even if my toes are still numb.
